About Me
Hey y'all! I'm Andrea and I am pumped to help you with this incredible season! I am a DONA, Int certified birth doula and birth educator serving the northeast Metroplex area.

My journey to this work began while I was in college. In a Human Sexual Behavior class (that I didn't even want to take), I was given an essay assignment that started me down a research rabbit hole that I have yet to get out of. It started with alternative pain management techniques for labor, crossed into the different places to deliver at, touched on baby-wearing, zoomed back to skin-to-skin, and so on until out found myself 10 hours later still craving to know more. It remained an obsession for just knowledge until 2019 when that stick clearly said "pregnant."

I navigated my way through my own beautiful pregnancy and aimed for the most natural birth. I was SO glad that I had such a vast wealth of information to fall back on when my own labor and delivery experience got tough. With an amazing team, and prayers from my family, I got the birth I wanted.

Now, I want to lend my years of research to you. I want to show you the support that that I enjoyed. I want to be the positive voice for you when you need it the most. I want to be a part of the team that helps you get the birth that you want

Bengkung Belly Binding
Bengkung (pronounced bang-koong) belly binding is a tradition that originates from Malaysia. It is, essentially, tying a series of knots around a postpartum tummy to help bring the muscles together and support healing.
